You can inspect them before you purchase them. Most of the cars at government auctions are almost new with low miles. For instance, when a sports car is seized from a drug dealer, you can purchase it at government auctions. AuctionsPass is giving away the secrets to government auctions. You will find the car of your dreams for a very low price.

The ability to use the AuctionPass technology allows you to find government auctions in your area. Once you find the auction you can determine which vehicles are on site. Then you can decide if you want to attend this auction and purchase a vehicle of your dreams for pennies on the dollar.

Government auctions have been around for a long time. Ever since the government has been seizing goods they have been selling them back to the public to raise money for the local police divisions. Not only will you be getting an excellent deal on your next vehicle purchase, but you will be helping the law enforcement agency.

MAKE MONEY LINKS:
Auto Directory
MoneyDirectory

What are the requirements for a car dealer's license?

For example, here is more information on the requirements California.

*An applicant must take a six hour preparation class to become a licensed car dealer. There are 2 main types of dealers, retail or wholesale. Retail Dealers have more restrictions as liability which required more dealer insurance as well as a larger dealer bond, but retail dealer are the only dealers allowed to sell to the public. Wholesale dealers may only sell to other dealers.

*The applicant must take the class and pass a 40 question test, then submit an application and a bond, then submit photos and pass an on-site inspection. Upon review the DMV inspector will review the dealer's application and then approve the tempory license. Often the largest struggle for those attempting to start a retail dealership is the zoning for the city or county to allow a dealership at the choosen location. Make sure that the location you choose is zoned properly and/or will be an acceptable location for a retail dealership. Rarely do wholesale dealerships struggle getting proper zoning permission from the government.

*Once a would be dealer passes the test they must prepare for DMV approval from the inspector. To prepare the following tasks must be done. The applicant must produce 11 photos 1)building 2)outside sign 3)display area 4)office 5)business license 6)resale permit 7)telephone 8)inside signs 9)locked cabinet 10)checkbook 11)dmv dealer book

*Then the applicant must submit: zoning approval letter, OL902 certificate of class completion, TSM888 business license resale permit ficticious name statement telephone listing livescan fingerprint card personal history questionaire completed dmv dealer application bond in the name of the owner / dealership.

Is there a way to obtain a dealer license in California using a home address if the cars never come to that addresss?
I have not heard or met anyone that has a dealers license using a home address. I believe to obtain a dealers license you need to be a "store" where you have inventoty (in this case cars). As a dealer all retail transactions need to take place in or at your store. So having your dealers license address to be your home address does not seem plausible.

How can you get a dealer license for used cars?
go to your states Dept of Motor Vehicles and look up dealer license info. There will be an option to get licensed for used cars only.

How do you sell a car when the bank has the title?
Contact the bank. You can't sell it without the title.

How do you obtain a car dealer's license?
try your local DMV

How many cars can you sell with out getting a dealer license?
check with your local DMV agency. It varies from state to state.

Who is responsible for a smog check on a used car?
The new owner is responsible for the smog. However most dealerships pre smog their used cars and pass the cost onto the new owner.

Section 24007 (b)(2) of the Vehicle Code states it is the responsibility of the seller to provide a valid smog certificate at the time of delivery of the vehicle.

Do you need to have good credit to obtain a dealer license?
States and municipalities establish business licensing laws. Generally the person applying for a business license will be subjected to a criminal and credit background check and will be required to post a security bond.
FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

How do you get a used car dealer's license?

This will depend on your state.

For example, to become a licensed car dealer the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles requires a dealer applicant to take a six hour preparation class to become a licensed car dealer. They have a list of requirements that can be printed from their website. Requirements include: having a building with office furniture and a business phone, a display area large enough for 15 vehicles, a sign, liability insurance, a garage facility or Service Agreement with a local repair garage, and a surety bond or letter of credit for $25,000. The Dealer License Fee for used cars is $200.

*I am in the process of opening a used car dealership in California. You go to the DMV and get all the required forms. Go to the county office to apply for a business license and a fictious name permit. Then contact the Franchised Tax Board to get your resale #. Secure a $50,000 used car bond (each state is different). Secure your location because you have to show proof of lease to the DMV.

How do you get a car dealer's license in California?
In the state of California:

*You must take a dealers course (approx. $150) and a follow up course depending on the volume you plan on selling.

*After you take your course you need to provide proof and do to the DMV and take a test.

*You need to provide proof that your business location is approved by the city for auto sales.

*You need to pay a $150 application fee to the DMV.

In more detail:

To become a licensed car dealer the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles requires a dealer applicant to take a six hour preparation class to become a licensed car dealer. Gets you into private wholesale dealer auctions only dealers can go to - same auctions that all used car dealers buy used cars from, including mega-used car dealerships!

2. Go directly to new-car dealerships to buy wholesale cars with "closed bids"

3. No state limit to how many cars you can sell per year.

4. Cancel your personal registration and insurance and drive around dealer cars with dealer license plates.

5. No need to waste time "wheeling and dealing" and hunting through ads.

6. You'll be a small business owner, entitling you to gold corporate credit cards, small-business loans and other fringe benefits.

7. Tax benefits! "Write-off" just about anything, including gas receipts, auto repair receipts - even dinner and movie receipts!

8. Become an auto broker! Did you know you need an auto dealer license to become an auto broker? You'll be 1/2 way there!

9. Get dealer discounts and make tax-free purchases from almost any business including factory car dealers and parts stores.

10. Buy wholesale cars for yourself, your friends and family members. You'll never get ripped off from a dealership again!

Without an auto dealer license, you are missing out on all these benefits and you are losing thousands of easy dollars every month. I'm typically buying used cars for $1,500 and sell my used car a few days later for $3,000 without doing a thing to the cars. That's $1,500 car profit in my pocket without even blinking.

The State is the Car Dealer License Enemy

Did you know that all states make it a misdemeanor crime to buy and sell cars without a car dealer license? States regulate this by putting a strict limit on how many cars you can sell per year as a private party.

What the state is really saying is "If you don't play by our rules, we'll make it virtually impossible for you to make money in the car business."

To make matters worse, states WILL tell you what laws you must follow, but WILL NOT take your hand and guide you through the process. As a result, the process of getting a car dealer license can be outright ridiculous unless you know someone in the business.

Many people think about getting a car dealer licensed, but eventually give up - frustrated and discouraged in a maze of confusion. They fall back into the trap of searching through ads every week, playing phone tag, and driving around town all day hoping to find a deal, while the licensed dealers are at the dealer auctions and new car dealerships buying cars at below wholesale.

A Car Dealer License is Not as Hard as You Think

When I got my license I realized it takes a little patience, but it is NOT difficult if you are aware of what to expect and what the minimum requirements are . In fact, the vast majority of licensed dealers don't have huge lots and fancy signs - they do the minimum required to get licensed. The minimum requirements can be quite simple.

2How do you get an auto dealer license?
To get a car dealer license in the State of California; the Department of Motor Vehicles requires a dealer applicant to take a six hour preparation class to become a licensed car dealer. I put the key in the ignition, I turn it and if it doesn't work, I'll calmly get out and try the key in another car's ignition. Only joking. Basically, if it doesn't work, I'll shrug, get out, stick out my thumb and get a lift with someone who has a car who has a key that seemed to work that morning. Or something.

Now batteries exist not only in torches that you find in the boots of cars, but actually, I have since learnt, exist in engines as well and need to remain fully charged.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

<link rel='related' href='http://motorcarprofits.com' title='Cars: What makes them go? Lets start off with car supermarkets - these are absolutely huge dealerships, generally located at motorway junctions outside major cities. These supermarkets have huge amounts of stock and operate on wafer thin margins which means you can save a significant amount by shopping about a little.

Car supermarkets sell both pre-registered and ex fleet cars so the chances of hunting down a bargain are fairly good, particularly for more mainstream brands such as Ford and Vauxhall. Remember in the car industry a lot of premium goes toward the badge that a car has - so if you're not too fussed about the make you can save thousands of pounds simply by taking advantage of this. The other thing about car supermarkets is that unlike dealerships there is very little pressure or badgering from salespeople.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-6

Some Factors To Consider - Remember that you'll need to factor in a longer delivery time for your purchase. The deposits required from European dealers also tend to be much higher than in the UK (up to 30%) and be wary of foreign exchange fluctuations in currency that can alter the final price of your car. You will also have to insure the car for delivery to the UK - phone some UK insurers or the dealership itself and see what your options are.

Using An Agent - Agents that specialise in providing discounts for UK buyers are becoming more and more common. Typically these services will tailor the extent of service you require - from giving you a list of foreign names to actually handling all the paperwork & delivery of the car. Shop around to see where you can get the lowest agency fees although they do tend to be fairly static.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-5

CUTTING THE COST OF CARS BY PURCHASING OVERSEAS

Importing cars from overseas has never been a more viable option - and it's a great way of saving a lot of money on a brand new car without having to compromise on features or status. It's possible to either do this yourself or use an agent. Using an agent does cost slightly more of course but is a good option if you can't spare the time to actually go abroad yourself.

DIY Importing - There are several factors you need to consider if you wish to import a car yourself - for a start you need to ensure the car you purchase fits British specification. Finding a dealer that will sell to you can also be an issue though this is less of a problem than it used to be.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-4

Buy An "Ex Fleet" Car And Make Some Serious Savings - The Ex Fleet market in the UK is huge and certainly worth considering if you wish to make some significant savings. Ex fleet cars are commonly sold at car supermarkets, and used car dealerships. Typically, the mass sellers such as Ford, Vauxhall, Nissan, Peugeot and others all sell to the ex fleet market.

Buy A Pre Registered Car & Save Money - Pre registered cars are classed as "sold" by manufacturers, mostly to make their sales figures look better. Usually the cars have only a few miles on the clock but because they are classed as "second hand" they tend to be much lower in price. In effect you will enjoy a car that is practically new at a seriously reduced cost. Franchise dealerships and car supermarkets are the places to find these gems. A lot of pre registered cars also come with a manufacturers warranty which makes the deal all the more sweet.

Buy A Car From A UK Auction - Thousands of cars are sold at very low prices through auctions that are held in the UK. This includes liquidation sales for companies that have gone bust as well as government held auctions where all kinds of items including cars are sold off at very low prices.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-3

So what do we mean by looking at the cars "platform"?

Simply a platform is the very basic structure upon which the car is structured - the core upon which the fittings and body are structured. Many different cars are actually derived from the same platform. For example Ford uses the Mondeo and Fiesta platforms to produce a wide variety of individual cars from the Puma to the Probe and much more. So lets say you really like the look of the Ford Galaxy - you should then investigate other similar cars built on the same platform.
Once you have done this look at the offerings of your rivals - get hold of some car magazines and see which cars are listed next to your preferred choice. There may be some big price differences that you can expose to your advantage.

Tip - Avoid paying high prices for "special editions" - this is rarely little more than different seat covers or some other small changes. What you're actually paying for here is the "exclusive" factor.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-2

WAYS OF CUTTING THE COST OF YOUR NEW CAR

As we saw above, we can really save some cash by purchasing our new car from Europe - an option that we'll investigate in more detail shortly. However, first we'll take a look at ways to cut the cost of your new car within the UK itself.

Research - Approach the purchase of your new car as you would if it were a home. If you were going to buy a new home you would probably consider several different ones, perhaps in different areas before making your choice. Similarly, you may have a preferred make and model but do not stop yourself from considering other models. If you are on a budget ask yourself what t is that you're looking for from your auto - is space important because you have a family? Whatever your requirements write them down and then list all the makes & models that fit your criteria. You'll probably notice that there may be savings of a couple of thousand between 2 different cars that both fit your requirements.

When researching which is the cheapest & best possible option for you, this process of identifying close substitutes to your preferred choice is vital. You will need to investigate the car's "platform", compare to its rivals and then make a choice based on this.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

HOW TO BUY A BMW ON A HYUNDAI BUDGET Part-1

UNDERSTANDING THE UK CAR MARKET

Traditionally, purchasing a new car in the UK has always been an expensive pursuit. Manufacturers have been able to restrict the means by which we buy new cars in the UK - they have been able to dictate who can sell a particular brand of car to you and where they can be sold.

While in recent times the prices of new cars in the UK have been falling, they remain well above those in other European countries - this means that it's possible to save a lot of money on cars if you're prepared to do some research and buy your car from a source outside the UK. This may seem like a hassle, but with several thousands of pounds to save it can prove to be more than worthwhile - and if you have a thing for travelling then buying from abroad can help satisfy your wanderlust while saving money on your new vehicle.

FOR USED CAR PROFITS CLICK HERE

Local Government Auto Auctions

Every day thousands of Americans default on their car loans or lease payments as a result, their new or almost new cars get repossessed by the financial institutions and auctioned off in a hurry.
